The Carrs Local Nature Reserve
An idyllic stretch of woodland, grassland and play areas nestled beside the River Meden. The Carrs is home to the Mill Pool, a popular spot for fishing, as well as a mix of picturesque walking and cycling trails, playgrounds, a skateboard park and a bowling green. Eagle-eyed visitors can often spot a wide range of bird species – from Goosanders to Ospreys.
King George V Park
This family-friendly park is a haven for kids and sports enthusiasts, with a pitch and putt golf course, a kitted-out play area and a big football pitch perfect for a casual kickabout.
Berry Hill Park
Home to the Mansfield Harriers and Athletics Club, Berry Hill Park hosts an exciting mix of local and national sporting events. With a multi-functional community centre, a cosy café and more than 25 hectares of sprawling green space, it’s no surprise this picturesque park’s a firm favourite among locals.
Sherwood Forest
We’re just a stone’s throw from the historic Sherwood Forest – home to the legend of Robin Hood and the 1,000-year-old Major Oak. Just hop on the 14 line bus and you’ll soon find yourself among 450 acres of ancient, unspoiled woodland.
Yeoman Hill Park
A popular community hub with well-kept gardens, a playground and plenty of wide open green space perfect for picnics, walks or just soaking up the sunshine with friends and family.
Titchfield Park
A Green Flag award-winning park popular with families looking to blow off steam with a play area, multi-use games area or at the Titchfield Tea House.
